About Us

rs-board

The Rossmoor Square Dance Club was founded in 1965.   Square dancing is done in groups of eight to a variety of popular tunes. As all steps are carefully explained, practiced, and then called as the dance progresses, most beginners find it easy to learn and enjoy. Square dancing is a fantastic social outlet that provides beneficial physical and mental exercise for the muscles, brain, heart and bones while improving coordination.

In addition to weekly dancing, the club also has various social events, sometimes off-site. Recently, we ferried from Jack London Sq to the Embarcadero – to dance in the shadow of the Ferry Building. Our club is fortunate to have our weekly dances hosted by professional caller Ellen Rosenbluth.
